Antique Paste Jar: Thomas' Photo Paste Flashlight Bottle

  • Details
This antique paste jar by L. H. Thomas & Co. measures 4 1/2" with the lid on. The jar itself is 2 1/2" tall with an opening of 3 1/4" in diameter. This antique clear glass paste bottle is over 100 years old, and it has the most unique and gorgeous metal lid with an unusual shape and really cool artwork. The jar itself is divided into two sections, a larger compartment for the paste and a smaller section that serves as a brush well. The bottom of the glass bottle is marked "L. H. Thomas & Co. 838 Pat'd May 15, 1900." The lid says "Thomas' Photo Paste Flashlight Bottle" and "Keep a Little Water in the Brush Well/Close Lid When Not in Use". Considering its age of 117 years, this bottle is in great vintage condition. However, there is a dent and some scratching on the lid, and a crack in the side of the glass that does not go all the way through. This bottle would look so awesome on a desk in a home or office. It could be used to store paper clips or other small items. It would also be an excellent complement to any antique bottle collection.
